Dr. Geoff Medical Weight Loss Center, established in 1986, combines prescription medications, nutritional counseling and dietary supplements to help you achieve and maintain a safe and healthy weight.

Geoffrey B. Monsour, M.D. is a full-time, board certified, family physician, with additional qualifications in geriatrics.  He is on staff at 3 area hospitals and 5 area nursing homes.  Dr. Geoff maintains medical practices in Greensburg, Pa., and in Irwin, Pa., as well as supervising weight loss programs in Irwin and Penn Hills.

The cost of joining the program is $150.00. and will include

• A seminar conducted by Dr. Geoff.
• Thirty day supply of medication designed to control  appetite and eliminate                fluid retention, and a multi vitamin. (Based on health history and BMI) 
•  Nutritional counseling, and support.
•  Physician's evaluation, and laboratory prescription.  
•  B12 injection.

An additional $30.00 is to be paid in advance for the cost of the follow up visits at once a week for the following three week visits.  This fee is accessed every third week.  These follow up appointments are absolutely necessary to monitor  progress, and teach a safe and healthy lifestyle change.  Monitoring weight, and blood pressure will be done weekly, as well as a B12 injection or tablet.  Education will be given on nutrition, exercise and behavioral modifications.

Seminars are held weekly by appointment on Monday evenings in the Irwin, and Thursday evenings in Penn Hills. Everything needed to begin the program will be given at seminar.  

We are trained professionals, always here for your support, guidance and education.  Our main focus is to individualize the program to meet your needs, with successful weight loss. 

We sell optional  high-protein nutritional foods, including protein bars, snacks and drinks, that fit nicely into the program. Other optional supplements available;  "Carbo Thin", an all-natural starch blocker, and "Shapewise", a natural fat-burner.
